Santiago Cathedral Restoration - Limited access for 2019.

Restoration work has started on the interior of the Cathedral that is expected to take a year to complete. There will be limited access.


There will be no Botafumeiro during this time. 


Access to the Cathedral will only be for the crypt and to the statue of St. James for "abrazo"! 


Chapel of la Corticela just inside the door of the Cathedral will remain open:

Mass; every day – 11:00 am.


Mass in various languages will be celebrated at the nearby churches

English - 9.30  Chapel at the Pilgrims' Center at Rua Carretas.


The 12:00 noon Pilgrims' Mass will be celebrated at San Francisco. 


Other Masses will happen in Iglesia de Santa María Salomé-  Rua Nova

Monday to Friday: 7:30 am, 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 7:00 pm

Saturdays: 7:30 am, 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm

Sundays: 7:30 am, 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm
